Skaf from Yonder

Skaf from Yonder is a half-elf warlock and the lead dramatic performer for The Heroes of Eastport. Known for his theatrical flourishes, haughty expression, and pale, gaunt skin, Skaf operates under a pact with a warlock patron (believed to be Seraphina), granting him eerie glowing eyes and mystical, showy powers.

Habits and Quirks

Skaf is a passionate gambler, famously losing several high-stakes card matches to the merchant Treynor at The Spotless Apple inn before being rescued by his companions. He is never seen without his tobacco pipe puffing away and carries a magical ring that allows him to hide small illicit objects, alongside the mummified dead hand of a sea hag.

Ethor Kelanna's Undeath

Following Ethor Kelanna's death in the Cownado beneath Brae, Skaf took the wizard as an undead servant, binding him to his will. The servant's later fate is not recorded.

The Voidbloom Trip

Skaf has an established fondness for Voidbloom, a highly addictive and hallucinogenic dark drug. During the crossing of the Kalani Strait on The Stubborn Arse, Skaf consumed a potent dose, experiencing a legendary mental trip in which he claimed his mind expanded to become one with the ship's timbers, leading to an extraordinary, direct conversation with his otherworldly patron.

The Fen and Return to Marterus

While camped outside the Temple in the Fen, Skaf spoke again with Seraphina, who sounded trapped and was described as a djinn. Within the temple, Skaf survived separation from the party, escaped a moss-covered beast and discovered the blood offering that opened the doors to the Shadow Harlequin. He fell during the battle but survived.

Skaf teleported the party back to Ulfhold. After the royal impostor revealed itself and was slain, he assumed King Edor Bren's appearance to summon a private council, then revealed the deception to Captain Stephen Reynaud. He later banished the bat-like creature that Jolene Dennison had become, sending her back to an unidentified plane.
