Eastport is a maritime fishing village located on the eastern shore of the island of Farmarch, overlooking the Kalani Strait. Known historically for its salted cod and damp warehouses, the village gained sudden regional notoriety in 1487 DR following a series of highly bizarre events, including a mass vegetative possession, a crash-landing by the airship The Kestrel, and the slaying of the forest witch Margeth by a band of travelling performers.

The town's military force and policing are managed by Captain Ikugo Havenwild, a Half-Orc warrior who leads the local Watch. Under Havenwild's direction, the Watch protects the town from forest goblins and ensures the local docks remain orderly, though they were historically criticized for failing to detect a major drug ring operating in the warehouse sector [citation needed].

The economy of Eastport revolves almost entirely around fishing, maritime trade, and tavern card games.
The Spotless Apple
The Spotless Apple is the primary inn and cultural hub of Eastport. Managed by the twin brothers Baldo and Waldo, the establishment is famous for its visual warmth and for hosting high-stakes card matches. It is rumored that a shady merchant named Treynor ran a lucrative betting table here, winning several hands against the local rogue Skaf before being exposed.
The Docks and the Warehouses
The docks serve as the primary crossing point across the Kalani Strait, utilizing ice-breaking transport vessels like The Stubborn Arse to ferry goods to West Port. In 1487 DR, a routine investigation of the damp dockside warehouses by the Watch led to the discovery of a smuggling ring dealing in Voidbloom, a highly addictive and hallucinogenic dark substance.
The Lighthouse
Situated on a rocky cliffside, the Eastport Lighthouse is a critical navigational aid. It was the site of the infamous Cephalopod Trance in which the keeper, Maynard Krensch, was found with a giant octopus-like parasite attached to his head, projecting light that lured sleepwalking villagers into the sea.

The Great Kestrel Crash
In the summer of 1487 DR, the luxury airship The Kestrel experienced a sudden engine failure and crash-landed in the fields immediately outside Eastport. The crash delivered a band of eccentric wanderers to the village, who quickly integrated themselves into the local affairs.
The Vegetable Curse
During a celebratory feast, the entire populace of Eastport fell victim to a magical blight, temporarily transforming the villagers into sentient plants and shrubbery. The curse was traced to a local cottage inhabited by the forest witch Margeth. The witch was eventually confronted and vanquished in her forest hideout by the adventurers, who were subsequently dubbed the Heroes of Eastport.
