Elion Ashhar-Rah'oul

Elion Ashhar-Rah'oul is a human ranger and core member of The Heroes of Eastport. Characterised by a brooding, secretive demeanour and piercing dark eyes, Elion is a master of wilderness survival, scouting, and silent tactical strikes, though he is known to carry a heavy burden of personal regrets and secrets.

Tactical Capabilities

Elion is exceptionally swift and operates almost exclusively from the shadows, wrapped in a weathered dark cloak and hood that obscures his face. He is armed with a massive giant bow strapped to his back and carries custom fletched arrows. He has served as the party's lead scout during operations against the Gorsuine in Brae and Ethor Kelanna’s flesh-golem hideout.

Personal Controversies

Following a skirmish in the forest, Elion took the life of a local named Josef. This action caused him severe internal conflict and drew concern from his companion Brogmar Mossbeard, who sent him a private letter (Dear Elion) urging him to face his actions and place truth where silence grows, rather than letting the shadows consume him. Elion continues to walk a delicate line between survival and indifference.

On the road from Marterus to Greygate, Elion shot an approaching riderless horse twice, killing it. The campaign record identifies this as a random encounter and the horse as innocent; it does not record Elion's explanation.

The Order Concerning King Edor

During the journey to Marterus, Elion spoke of unfinished business with King Edor Bren. After the party defeated the Shadow Harlequin beneath the Temple in the Fen, he disclosed that the Raven Queen had ordered him to kill the king. Elion described her as a deity of death who ensures that life and death follow their proper course.

The Harlequin had displayed Edor's face, leaving the party unsure whether Elion's order concerned the true king or an infiltrator. Their concern proved well founded when the royal figure at Ulfhold transformed into an abomination and was killed, although the real Edor remained missing.
