The Ulfhold Impostor Incident was the exposure and killing of a creature occupying the throne of King Edor Bren in Marterus after the Fen expedition. The apparent king was a replacement but did not establish when the substitution occurred or what became of the real Edor.

Exposure
The Heroes of Eastport returned from the Temple in the Fen through Ulfhold's teleportation circle and were taken directly to the king. When they reported that their expedition had succeeded, the royal figure became enraged and transformed into a hideous abomination. Several guards also changed form and joined its attack.
The Heroes killed the replacement and its minions. Skaf from Yonder then assumed Edor's appearance to summon a private council while the party decided whom to trust; Panda (Sean Gardner) took gems from the royal quarters during the interval.
Disclosure and Aftermath
Skaf revealed his disguise to Captain Stephen Reynaud, Steward of Marterus. The guards Gregory and Gragory supported the party's account, and Reynaud appeared to accept it. Edor's location remained unknown and he was presumed dead, leaving the government of Marterus unresolved.
