Sloane

Sloane (sometimes spelled Sloan) is a mysterious human girl residing in the port town of Eastport on the island of Farmarch. Ostensibly employed as a local dockworker, Sloane is known for her secretive demeanour, sharp observation skills, and deep familiarity with the rough harbour crowds and shipping routes of the Kalani Strait.

Encounters in Eastport (1487 DR)

Sloane was first encountered by the Heroes of Eastport shortly after their arrival in the port. While the adventurers were stuck awaiting passage, Sloane was observed lurking near the cargo docks and damp warehouses that were later revealed to house smuggling crates of Voidbloom.

While she did not take an active, public role in the subsequent warehouse investigation, her presence at key junctures and her quiet, knowing expressions led the druid Brogmar Mossbeard to note her as a figure of significant intrigue who "knew far more than she let on."

Character and Appearance

Sloane is described as blending effortlessly into the shadows of the docks, wearing simple, weathered leather garb suitable for heavy labour. Her piercing, silent gaze and reluctance to share her history have fuelled rumours among the sailors of the Stubborn Arse that she may be an informant for regional merchant guilds or possibly the thieves' guild of Felldrei.

The Shadow Harlequin

A likeness of Sloane later appeared on one of the whispering face-stalks of the Shadow Harlequin encountered beneath the Temple in the Fen. The creature carried a journal associated with targets of the Crooked Man, but the record does not establish why Sloane's face appeared or what happened to her after Eastport.
