The future Heroes of Eastport followed the entranced villagers to the lighthouse and climbed the tower. They found Krensch beneath the parasite while the lighthouse projected the influence that drew the sleepers towards the water.
Resolution
The adventurers forcibly removed the creature, freeing Krensch and ending the trances. No origin or motive for the parasite was established, and its possible connection to strange lights reported at sea remains unknown.
