Marta

Marta is a crew member of the ice-breaker The Stubborn Arse whose abduction during its 1487 DR crossing of the Kalani Strait became one of the voyage's defining events. During the passage, she and the goliath warrior Muffin (Jake Marshall) formed a romantic attachment.

Abduction

Following the crew's Frostfeast celebration, a flying shadow carried Marta away into the sky. No recovery or confirmed death has been recorded. Although the crew used its funerary phrase, "To the wind, to the sea," the available account establishes that she was taken, not that she died.

The event left Muffin heartbroken and angry. Around the same period, the Crooked Man appeared and warned him that his heart would crumble and his dreams turn to ash, lending the abduction an unresolved connection to the coming Mirrorwind.
